Gross is a prolific financial and economic writer and the author of five books. His latest book, “Dumb Money,” was recently released in paperback. He has previously written for The New York Times, Fortune, Wired, The New Republic and Bloomberg News. His expertise spans economic and tax policy, the links between business and politics, the rise of the investor class, the culture of Wall Street, and business history.

A former senior staff economist on the President’s Council of Economic Advisers in both the Bush and Clinton administrations, Knetter was an associate dean and professor of international economics in the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College prior to his current position.
