I don’t have time for much more than a quick up-date on the war in Sa’dah – I return home on Friday and hope to have more time to write on the war. But the information both that President Salih visited the region – well ‘Amran – today as well as Sadiq al-Ahmar’s letter of support for the state against the Huthis is significant. Note the part about violating the constitution – that sounds like something else I heard recently from one of the al-Ahmar brothers, but I think the context was a bit different. The complexities and shifting alliances of this alone nearly knock me out.
