Yesterday I wrote about ‘Abdullah al-Midhar escaping from Yemeni security forces in Shabwa. His freedom, it seems, did not last long. Numerous English language reports have the news of his death, but we are linking to the Mareb Press article, which has the details of the clashes.

The fighting took place in the city of Hutah in Shabwa, where al-Midhar lived. The Mareb Press story also talks about other clashes taking place throughout Shabwa as military units and militants attempted to reinforce or ease the siege on al-Midhar’s house respectively.

Fighting like this is going to have repercussions.
