Eric Markowitz is the Managing Partner and Director of Research at Nightview Capital. His forthcoming book, OUTLAST — to be published by Scribner, the flagship imprint of Simon & Schuster and released internationally — explores what long-term thinking looks like in practice by studying the world’s most enduring companies. Before becoming an investor, Eric was a business journalist and SABEW Award winner, with bylines in The New Yorker, Inc., The Atlantic, Newsweek, and others. Today, he writes The Long Game at Big Think, a column on longevity in business and life, and publishes The Nightcrawler, a widely read newsletter for builders, investors, and creatives around the world. He lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, novelist Rachel Hochhauser, and their two young daughters. Follow him on X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
